SGA Wants Your Input On Financial Aid Legislation

My fellow Redbirds,

The U.S. House has recently passed the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act bill (SAFRA). This legislation is being called a landmark investment in Illinois’s economic future by focusing on college loan reform. Under SAFRA, there will be an increase in the Pell Grant scholarship, an expansion of the Perkins loan program to all college campuses, and a shorter, simpler FAFSA form. SGA wants to hear what YOU think about this legislation. Your responses will determine whether SGA shows support for this bill as the U.S. Senate begins to look into the legislation.
