The Student Body President is the official spokesperson for the student body.
The Student Body President serves as the liaison between the Student Government Association and the University Administration
The Office of the Student Body President supervises the operations of the Association, executive officers and staff. He or she has the authority to make recommendations on the establishment and abolition on student commissions to the Assembly.
The Student Body President also recommends legislation to the Assembly, co-chairs the Academic Senate, and sits as an ex-officio on all internal committees.
The Student Body President is elected at large by the student body.
